Volkswagen GTI Wins AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Award

The 2010 Volkswagen GTI was honored with the AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Award, according to Fort Worth Volkswagen dealerships.

AutoPacific announced its 14th Annual Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA) to help consumers make informed vehicle purchase decisions and the VW GTI won the award for the premium compact car category.

“While the auto industry is showing signs of improvement, more than ever before, manufacturers need to be able to differentiate themselves. Proof of satisfied customers is as good as gold,” said George Peterson, president of AutoPacific.

AutoPacific’s Vehicle Satisfaction Award is an industry benchmark for measuring how satisfied an owner is with his/her new car or light truck, according to Milwaukee VW dealer Hall Automotive.

“The GTI is fun to drive,” said the Milwaukee Volkswagen dealer. “With a luxurious interior and great MPG, drivers are loving the 2010 VW GTI.”

Honda Accord a Top Family Sedan for Fort Worth Shoppers

The 2010 Honda Accord was named by Cars.com as one of the top family sedans on the market, according to Fort Worth Honda dealers.

In its inaugural $25,000 Family Sedan Shootout, Cars.com took eight popular sedans, six automotive journalists, a family of four and three days to determine: What’s the best family sedan you can buy for $25,000 or less? Experts from Cars.com, USA Today and “MotorWeek” tested midsize sedans costing less than $25,000 head-to-head to help car buyers sift through options in the competitive family sedan market.

Vehicles were then tested the way average families would drive them. The cars were put through a mileage challenge and two days of real-life road tests to choose a winner. Each car was scored from 1-10 in 10 categories, with a maximum score of 1,000 points. The result? The 2010 Honda Accord took the fifth spot in the list of the top 8 family sedans.

“We wanted to put these cars through real-life tests that measure what’s most important to family drivers,” said Patrick Olsen, Cars.com editor-in-chief.
