Jerry’s Hyundai serving Fort Worth Hyundai shoppers has announced that its first shipment of 2011 Hyundai Equus vehicles will be received at their Weatherford dealership this fall.
The Equus has been highly anticipated by many Fort Worth Hyundai shoppers because it has many of the same features as a high-end luxury vehicle for a price anywhere from $12 – $35,000 less than those vehicles would cost.
The leather is soft, the seats are plush and comfortable, and the headliner is made from of Alcantara suede. The 2011 Hyundai Equus even has French stitching on the leather-wrapped dash.
This full-size, rear-drive luxury sedan will give Hyundai a budget alternative to a Mercedes S-Class, Lexus LS, Jaguar XJ or other top-notch sedans.
The Equus rides on a 5-link suspension (front and rear), featuring lightweight aluminum control arms, while Hyundai has worked in partnership with ZF-SACHS to develop an air-suspension that is electronically governed to minimize body roll, nose-diving and other undesirable characteristics.
Other notable highlights include the standard Vehicle Stability Management which integrates the Lane Departure Warning System, Pre-Safety System, Third Generation Smart Cruise Control (SCC) and other sub-systems, as well as the addition of a Knee Air Bag for the driver that brings the total airbag count to nine.
Hyundai says the price of the 2011 Equus should start at $50-$60,000 and the vehicle will be extremely well-equipped, meaning the Equus should undercut prices on comparable competitor vehicles.
Equus is the Latin name for “horse,” and this new Hyundai will run with the best of them.
Fort Worth Hyundai shoppers can experience the all-new Equus this fall at Jerry’s Hyundai.

Dallas-Fort Worth Chevrolet dealer, Classic Chevrolet, announces special financing offers on the new Chevy Corvette ZR1. For a limited time, Dallas-Forth Worth Chevy shoppers can qualify for 0% financing for 60 months or 3.9% for 72 months on the Corvette ZR1. The 2010 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 upholds the Corvette reputation for superb performance abilities, iconic exterior design and practical nature.
When the Corvette ZR1 was first introduced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the 2009 model’s power was estimated at 100 horsepower for each of its 6.2 liters of displacement. GM Powertrain has completed SAE certification of the 2010 ZR1’s supercharged LS9 V-8 and the results exceed the estimate: 638 horsepower (476 kW) and 604 lb.-ft. of torque (819 Nm).
The LS9’s output is nearly 103 horses per liter, or just about 1.7 horses for each of the engine’s 376 cubic inches. It is unquestionably the most powerful automotive production engine ever manufactured by General Motors and enables the Corvette ZR1 to achieve a top speed of more than 200 mph.
The capability of the new Corvette ZR1 comes from more than just its 6.2L 638-hp LS9 supercharged V8 engine. Equally significant is a power-to-weigh ratio of 5.2 pounds per horsepower, thanks to an aluminum-frame, magnesium fixed-roof structure, visible carbon-fiber body components and carbon ceramic breaks.
The LS9 engine is hand-built by specially trained technicians at GM’s Performance Build Center in Wixom, Mich. It is a unique, small-volume engine production facility that also builds the Chevrolet Corvette Z06’s LS7 engine and other high-performance GM production engines.
“One of the most amazing things about the Corvette ZR1 is the level of refinement that our designers and engineers have attained. Even with all that power, this car has road manners that will allow our customers to enjoy it on the streets as a daily driver, and on the track,” said Chevrolet General Manager Ed Peper.
Auto industry experts praised the ZR1 for its unsurpassed power and engineering. Many, like Road and Track Magazine were blown away by its capability.
“The ZR1′s performance is so over-the-top, it’s no longer America’s sports car. It’s America’s supercar, on a level beyond reproach by all but the most exotic of machinery.” — Road and Track
Dallas-Fort Worth Chevrolet shoppers who would like the opportunity to experience the power and performance capabilities of the Corvette ZR1 should call Classic Chevy at 817-421-7290.

Forty years ago this month, Jerry Durant began making a dream into reality. On July 28th, 1970 Jerry’s Chevrolet opened its doors to Fort Worth Chevrolet customers for the first time. An achievement like this calls for a celebration.
Join the staff at Jerry’s Chevrolet in Weatherford on Thursday, July 15th to truly kick off a fifth decade in the area for the Fort Worth Chevrolet dealer.
To thank its loyal customers and fans, Jerry’s Chevrolet is giving away a 2010 Cyber Gray Metallic Camaro.
The 2010 Chevy Camaro, the fifth generation of Camaro, carries on the proud tradition of the vehicles that came before it.
This year’s Camaro is powered by either a 3.6-liter direct-injected V6 (LS, 1LT, 2LT) or a 6.2-liter V8 (1SS, 2SS). Both are introduced with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic with manual shift control. The powerful V6 churns out 300 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, while the manual version of the V8 produces 426 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque.
To enter for a chance at a 2010 Camaro, simply visit any of Jerry’s seven dealerships and complete a test drive of any new vehicle before 5 p.m. on July 31. After pulling back into the dealership, complete the official contest registration form and drop it into the official contest registration box. Jerry’s Chevrolet will also reward customers who take a test drive with a special prize in addition to an entry into the contest.

Much has changed in the area since the opening of Jerry’s Chevrolet. Jerry Durant would like to think that his real estate investments and service on the school board and economic and educational councils have helped the community thrive. In 40 years he has gone from one acre to forty four; one brand to eight; twenty-five employees to more than 350; a few hundred sales per year to more than 9,000; from “on the lot” to online.
Regardless of how much has changed, some things always stay the same. All of the Jerry Durant dealerships will give customers the vehicle they need at a price they’ll love.
