In the 1970s Detroit automakers tried to convince regular, non-truck-driving Americans to switch to diesel. Diesel engines, burn fuel 30 percent more efficiently than gasoline engines. The automakers failed, because of poor engineering. General Motors’s Oldsmobile division produced a series of failure-prone engines that gave diesel a bad reputation.
The 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine that GM will likely put in the 2013 Chevy Cruze (and which already on the market in Australia and Europe) uses turbo-charging and direct injection to produce 161 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. In the Chevy Cruze, it should manage nearly 50 mpg on the highway and 40 mpg in overall driving.

Our leading Burleson Chevy dealer is partnering with the Burleson Harvest House to collected canned food. We will gladly be accepting donations in our showroom and look forward to making a gracious donation to this deserving organization.
From now until December 15, we encourage all of our customers and friends to donate what they can to the Burleson Harvest House. Established in 1984, the Harvest House started when people joined together and combined their efforts to operate a ministry in Burleson. What began as simply delivering food to the homes of those in needs, the Harvest House bloomed into a large volunteer facility.
The Burleson Harvest House is proud to serve those in the community who are in need. In 2010, they assisted an average of 310 families per month.
